THE SECRET IS OUT! Salvage Station is thrilled to host the second annual Big Secret Family Festival LIVE on the Outdoor Stage on Sunday, June 11th! All profits from this family-friendly MUSICAL EXTRAVAGANZA will go directly to BeLoved Asheville. This is gonna be a celebration of GIVING and GETTING DOWN and will feature performances from The Secret Agency (with Secret Agent 23 Skidoo), Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, and Firecracker Jazz Band.
We’ll have amazing food trucks and Root Down Kitchen open, so come hungry! Oh and did we mention that The Hop will be serving up their famous ice cream and there will also be lemonade and snow cones to enjoy!?
Tickets are now on sale ($23 General Admission)! FREE for kids under the age of 3! Doors open @ 2:30 PM. PAID ON-SITE PARKING STARTING AT 1:30 PM!

THE SECRET AGENCY is the worst kept secret in town! Pulling from the GRAMMY winning catalogue of bandleader SECRET AGENT 23 SKIDOO, this crew has carved a new niche with family friendly hip-hop that doesn’t compromise on the flavor or the depth. Their high energy, ultra positive live show has rocked stages across the US, Canada, India, & Australia, and mixes deft, inspiring wordplay and storytelling with lush three part harmonies and crowd interaction, all over a bed of funk, hip-hop, soul, and pirate shanties. Performing with THE SECRET AGENCY, the breakers of the DANCING ON AIR Bboy crew bring Olympic level acrobatics that perfectly compliment the musical fireworks.
YO MAMA’S BIG FAT BOOTY BAND has been Asheville’s favorite funkateers for YEARS! Over two decades of national touring alongside the likes of P-FUNK, Galactic, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Bootsy Collins and countless other legends has shaped and sharpened their sound. This colorful crew of road warriors and funk aficionados have sold out headline shows across the country, as well as infiltrating the local scene as members of Tuesday Night Funk Jam, Empire Strikes Brass, ElectroLust, and just about every other act with fat brass and funk faces. With a mix of new and traditional funk, hip-hop, rock, and wild improvisation, YO MAMA’S BIG FAT BOOTY BAND brings a good time every time!
TOYBOX THEATRE is the creation of principal artist Keith Shubert. Shubert is a multi-award winning puppeteer, clown, toy maker, producer, and digital creator with over 20 years of artistic and theatrical experience. Among Toybox’s many awards are Fan Favorite and Best Performance at The National Puppetry Festival, funding from The Jim Henson Foundation, and an UNIMA Citation for Excellence in The Art of Puppetry, the highest honor given in the field. But the real reward is delighting audiences of all ages all over the world with a unique brand of comedy, magic, and performance art.
JOHN GRANT is a storyteller, powwow musician and dancer, and cultural ambassador for the Eastern Band Cherokee Nation. Performing for more than two decades, he has brought the stories and songs of the Cherokee people to crowds worldwide.
A longtime member of the circus arts community, Keith will also be acting ringleader of the circus portion of the show. This year, THE BIG SECRET will feature a variety of circus performers, including jugglers, aerialists, stilt walkers, and magicians!
Since 2003, FIRECRACKER JAZZ BAND has been performing nationwide at jazz festivals, swing and swill dance halls, Bonnaroo, the Kennedy Center, and just about anywhere interested in an explosive, fun soaked experience. With jubilance and vigor, they pay homage to the pioneers of early 20th century jazz, including that of Dixieland and New Orleans. An unparalleled Asheville tradition for 20 years, this band revitalizes traditional jazz with unbounded energy, making jazz the people’s music once again.
ASHEVILLE SUN SOO MARTIAL ARTS, voted Asheville’s #1 martial arts school for 15 years running, will be giving tae kwon do exhibitions throughout the day.

We will have multiple food trucks and Root Down Kitchen on-site! So, come hungry and enjoy the great food selection! No outside food is allowed into the venue. No exceptions.

| We are very excited to host you for THE BIG SECRET on the Outdoor Stage at Salvage Station today. The Salvage Station paid on-site parking lot opens at 1:30PM and the venue doors open at 2:30PM.
We have some important information to share with you, so please keep reading and pass this along to any friends going to the show. PARKING: DO NOT park along the railroad tracks, bike lanes, or at other businesses along Riverside Drive! YOU WILL BE TOWED! PAID on-site parking opens at 1:30PM and is first-come, first-served with a $10 cash; $12 credit card fee per car. Handicap on-site parking is available. FREE PARKING will be available with complimentary shuttle service from 5PM to 11:30PM every 30 minutes (or faster, if traffic is good to us) just down the street at the Asheville Visitor Center at 36 Montford Avenue. Our neighbors on the other side of Southern States will be offering paid parking today as well, which is a short walk to Salvage Station along the railroad tracks. Please be safe walking to your car after dark and get a buddy to walk with you! As always, PLEASE carpool, Uber, Lyft, Taxi, or bike when you can to help make parking available for all who need it. Salvage Station is not responsible for stolen items, so please lock your car and put valuables in your trunk out of sight. There is NO RE-ENTRY once your ticket has been scanned and there are no exceptions to this rule. Camping chairs and blankets are ALLOWED for this event and handicap seating is available just outside of the main building. This show is an all-ages event. All minors must be accompanied by their guardian at ALL TIMES or their entire party will be asked to leave. ALL guests are subject to being searched prior to entry. EMPTY water bottles are allowed in an effort to cut down on waste. Remember to reduce, reuse and recycle! HANDICAP on-site parking and seating are available for those who need it. FOOD TRUCKS: We will have multiple food trucks here and Root Down Kitchen will be open, so come hungry! WHAT ELSE YOU CANNOT BRING TO SALVAGE STATION: No firearms, knives, weapons, pepper spray, fireworks, or projectiles of any kind No drugs, drug paraphernalia, or illegal substances of any kind No outside food, drinks No personal video cameras, Go-Pros, drones, or lasers No professional audio, video, or audio recording equipment – (including detachable lenses, tripods, zooms, or commercial use rigs) without proper credentials No inflatables No tents or easy-ups NO PETS!! Shirts + shoes are required at all times while on property No frisbees, hula hoops, or balls You may bring poster tubes. ***There is NO RE-ENTRY! All humans are subject to search upon entry. Guests have the right to refuse to be searched and the venue has the right to refuse entry. If you have any items that are not allowed into the venue, you will be asked to return them to your vehicle or forgo admission. NO REFUNDS WEATHER: Please dress appropriately for the weather on the day of the concert. SMALL handheld umbrellas are permitted. Be prepared and remember that you cannot go back out to your car once your ticket has been scanned. Like to be pampered? Check out our NEW Step It Up Lounge next to the sound booth. This is a limited occupancy space for those who want to indulge in a private bar, brand new bathrooms, and bistro seating.
