Show Me the Honey benefit concert hosted by Shanti Elixirs will be held at Salvage Station on Friday, October 1st from 6-9pm. The inspiration for this event comes from Shanti’s love of the honeybees and her desire to honor her friend and mentor, Sarah McKinney, whose legacy lives on with every honey bee we see. All profits will go to support projects organized by Bee City USA – Asheville and the Center for Honeybee Research. Queen Bee and the Honeylovers, an unabashedly joyful swing band, will be presenting evening entertainment. Shanti Elixirs will be offering a limited release Watermelon Mint Jun on draft, including cocktails and mocktails, as well as growlers to take home! Local vendors will be set up with their own unique offerings for purchase as well as raffling off some amazing baskets! There will also be a donation tent for folks to bring sugar to feed local hives!

We would be BEEYOND grateful for your attendance and support with this heartfelt fundraiser inspired by the loving memory of our dear friend Sarah McKinney.

About Queen Bee and The Honeylovers:

Queen Bee and the Honeylovers is an unabashedly joyful swing band that performs all-original compositions with a dedicated ‘nod’ to the small-jazz-combo and ‘hot club’ legends who first defined the genre. Their debut album, ‘Asheville’, celebrated their hometown’s history and won them #41 on WNCW’s listener-voted poll of Best Albums of 2019 as well as features on The State of Things with Frank Stasio and PBS Woodsongs. Their video for “Beacham’s Curve” won Best Soundtack at the 2019 Music Video Asheville Awards. Vocal-driven with an infectious groove, the Honeylovers are guaranteed to put a grin on your face and a tap in your toes.
