Remembering Ruby

This beautiful tribute concert honoring the life and music of sax phenom Ruby Mayfield will feature an incredible lineup including over 30 of Asheville’s finest musicians playing sets of Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, and Rock!  Ruby played sax with all of these musicians as she weaved effortlessly from one genre to another, easily crossing over with amazing solos filled with energy and character.  Family, Friends, and the entire community will share and experience the musical mark that Ruby left behind with this 6-hour outdoor show featuring performances from West Sound, Members of Empire Strikes Brass, Izzy Mayfield, The Paper Crowns, Eric and Kyle Travers, Jason DeCristofaro, Lyric, Marcel Anton, The Early Tuesday Players, Melodee Edington-Leyshon, Linda Wolf, Melissa McKinney, Andrew Scotchie and more TBA.
