Join WTF for a round table discussion about the trials we face as women in the music industry.

How can we better show up for each other and for ourselves? How can we use our voices to make an impact on our community and make change? What changes do you want to see and how can WTF help? This roundtable discussion will include an acoustic song share from Whitney Monge, Rebekah Todd, Kathryn O’ Shea, and Guitar Gabby. This is a General Admission event with FREE ON-SITE PARKING!

Gabriella “Guitar Gabby” Logan is an Atlanta Native and proud Spelman College and Vermont Law School graduate. Her environmental and music law background fueled her desire to start and manage the international touring collective Guitar Gabby & The TxLips Band, LLC. Logan believes artists must be well-rounded and versed in many areas of the music business, thus inspiring women and female-identifying musicians worldwide to be an unstoppable force. She is a writer for Guitar World Magazine, President of the global Girls Rock Camp Alliance Board of Directors, the Board Chair of Girls Rock Asheville, Board Member for Girls Rock Bellingham, and Governor for the Atlanta Board of Directors of the Recording Academy. Additionally, she is a Board Member of the Vermont Law School Alumni Association Board of Directors, an Advisory Board member for the Well Dunn Foundation, the Diversity Editor for Guitar Girl Magazine, and an Outreach and talent Acquisitions Strategist and consultant.

Rebekah Todd’s brand of “Cosmic Soul Rock” is a force to be reckoned with! Based out of North Carolina, Rebekah brings a fresh energy to each performance, which carries fans to a place that can only be described as unforgettable. Pulling from a wide range of influences from Hiatus Kaiyote to Tedeschi Trucks Band, Todd focuses on the art of expression, above all else. Todd currently has four releases under her belt; an EP, and three LP’s, “Realign” being the most recent. Todd has received countless awards and recognitions including 2013 Carolina Music Awards “Best Female Musician,” 2016 winner of Floyd Fest “On The Rise” Competition, 2017 Wilma Magazine’s “Woman to Watch,” 2018 Encore Magazine’s “Best Female Musician” and much more. The band is adored at festivals and Rebekah is known for exhilarating performances with acts such as Keller Williams, Big Something, Vince Herman, Andy Frasco, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, The Fritz and has been billed alongside acts such as Karl Denson, Mavis Staples, Dr Dog, Dumpstaphunk, Artimus Pyle, Shovels & Rope, Hiss Golden Messenger, Citizen Cope, Sarah Shook & the Disarmers and Rusted Root. In addition to having her own podcast (Rebekah Toddcast), she has been featured on Michael Franti’s podcast “Stay Human.” 

Americana Soul, Singer-songwriter & guitarist, Whitney Mongé learned to capture the power of authenticity while honing her skills as a street performer. Whitney was raised with rhythm and blues in her blood, and while growing up in the Pacific Northwest, her music is heavily influenced by the alternative rock and indie folk scene of Seattle. Her rich and sultry voice, accompanied by a raspy break at the edges, has drawn comparisons to esteemed artists like Brittany Howard and Lenny Kravitz. Through her music, Whitney gives voice to the marginalized, delving into vulnerable and profound storytelling reminiscent of greats like Tracy Chapman and Richie Havens. Mongé’s bluesy, percussive guitar style is unique in it’s own right, and she mentions John Mayer and Dave Matthews as influences in her musicianship.In 2014, Whitney was a main feature in the award-winning film, “Find Your Way: a Busker’s Documentary”, also starring Chris Bellew of The Presidents Of The United States Of America and world-renowned violinist, Joshua Bell.  The documentary was nominated for ten film awards and screened at CBGB Festival in New York City. From 2018 to 2022, Mongé was nominated for two terms as a Governor on the Pacific Northwest Recording Academy Chapter Board (GRAMMYs). Whitney is passionate about working with youth, women and people of color through peer support and deliberate collaboration. She has volunteered as a ‘band coach’ for all youth girls music program, Rain City Rock Camp, throughout her years in Seattle and donates a handful of performances to non-profit organizations annually. She offers mentoring for up-and-coming musicians specializing in artist development, branding, songwriting, and has been a guest panelist discussing these very topics from an independent artist perspective. Recently, she teamed up with the Grammy Award-winning orchestra, The Seattle Symphony, to release the captivating live album “Whitney Mongé Live with The Seattle Symphony” (2021), showcasing her remarkable musical journey.

The Ain’t Sisters are Fun, eclectic folk rock. Fronted by the deliciously androgynous duo Arrie Bozeman and Barb Carbon, the Aints deliver high-energy performances of their wildly diverse original music. Joined by the hardest working men in rock n Roll, Richie Jones on the Boom Chick thwackita whackita, and Justin Boudreau, aka BooDreamy, masterfully holding down the rhythm section and making everybody swoon with their gorgeous licks. Think Indigo Girls meets Dream Theater but with a little Birdcloud in the mix. If ya ain’t sisters, what are ya?

Kathryn O’Shea is an Asheville-born singer/songwriter mostly known for her unmistakable voice and soul-stirring original songs. Riding on a hypnotic current of soft electric banjo picking, O’Shea’s confessional lyricism and powerful, winding melodies collide to create something of a “country fried Florence Welch,” as Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine puts it.

Day of show information:

PARKING: DO NOT park along the railroad tracks, bike lanes, or at other businesses along Riverside Drive! YOU WILL BE TOWED! FREE ON-SITE parking is available for this event. 

AGE LIMIT: 18+ only (no exceptions!)

REQUIRED: Shirts + shoes are required at all times while on property (this used to be a salvage yard and can be very dangerous for bare feet). 

FOOD/BEVERAGE: We will have Root Down Kitchen open with options for everyone, so come hungry! Please, no outside food, drinks are allowed into the venue. Multiple full bars will be open with an incredible selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. EMPTY water bottles are allowed in an effort to cut down on waste. Remember to reduce, reuse and recycle and LEAVE NO TRACE (aka- put your used items in the proper bins when done). 

BAG POLICY: ALL guests are subject to being searched prior to entry. No large bags or backpacks allowed into the venue. For fastest entry, bring a small, clear bag for your personal belongings.

-No camping chairs or blankets

-No firearms, knives, weapons, pepper spray, fireworks, or projectiles of any kind

-No drugs, drug paraphernalia, or illegal substances of any kind

-No professional audio, video, or audio recording equipment – (including detachable lenses, tripods, zooms, or commercial use rigs) without proper credentials

-No inflatables

-No tents or easy-ups

-No frisbees, hula hoops, or balls
